Data is critical for evidence-based decision-making. It is no different when developing a workplace equity, diversity and inclusion program. A Workforce Census is a critical first step in designing, implementing and evaluating the efficacy and impact of diversity initiatives.
But collecting and analyzing this personal information creates a challenge for many organizations.
We offer is a fast, easy and secure way to collect and analyze this data.
The Census can be used for employment equity purposes to identify gaps in representation of the groups that experience systemic and persistent discrimination in employment, namely women, racialized people, Indigenous people, persons with disabilities and 2SLGBTQ+. It can also be used to gather broader demographic information about your workforce and capacity to serve an increasingly diverse client population.
Our goal is a 100% survey rate and an 80% response rate, which the Canadian Human Rights Commission has identified as critical to having valid data.

Working With YouWe work with human resource, equity staff and Advisory Committees to develop the census questions and design a survey administration strategy to ensure compliance with guidelines from the Human Rights Commission and privacy legislation.
We will guide you through the key decisions needed to be made about the Workforce Census. We understand the implications of these decisions, and will help you understand how they will impact the survey rate, response rate and the analysis that can be conducted. For organizations that are required to comply with the federal Employment Equity Act and Federal Contractors Program, we will guide you through the process to ensure compliance with federal requirements. |
