About Us

Our Story

Turner Consulting Group Inc. is a Canadian leader in equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) consulting. We are based in what is now known as Toronto, the traditional territory of many nations including the Mississaugas of the Credit, the Anishnabeg, the Chippewa, the Haudenosaunee and the Wendat peoples, and part of The Dish with One Spoon treaty territory and Treaty 13.

Established in 2002, we’ve partnered with organizations in the private, public, and nonprofit sectors to conduct equity assessments and embed equity, diversity, and inclusion into their policies, programs, and organizational culture. Our team brings a deep understanding of how systemic discrimination manifests in organizations and how to address it.

Turner Consulting Group is also an expert in anti-Black racism, having completed a number of seminal studies in the field. Founder and Principal Consultant, Tana Turner, has served as an expert witness on anti-Black racism for the Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario and the Canadian Human Rights Tribunal. For over 30 years, Tana has been committed to driving systemic change and improving outcomes for Black and marginalized communities in Canada.

At the heart of our work is a commitment to bettering the lives of Canadians through social justice, anti-oppression, anti-racism, equity, inclusion, and diversity. We help our partners move beyond intention to create sustainable change, stronger organizations, and thriving communities.
